BATO NHS SECONDARY BOYS WON THE 5TH MATCH IN ONE DAY LEAGUE

The BNHS Volleyball Team beams with pride as they showcase their certificates—hard work and teamwork paying off on center court.
The Secondary Boys volleyball team of Bato National High School won against the Tuburan Falcons Team during the 5th match of the One Day League held at the Balamban City Sports Complex on February 6, 2026. The final score was 2–1 in a best-of-three sets format (25–20, 22–25, 25–18). The game was exciting and full of energy as both teams gave their best on the court under the guidance of their coach.
The Secondary Boys volleyball team showed great teamwork and determination during the 5th match of the One Day League between the Joyful City of Toledo Team and the Tuburan Falcons Team. The game was exciting and full of energy as both teams gave their best on the court.
One of the standout players of the match was Matt Julian P. Cabañog, wearing jersey number 12. He played with confidence and focus throughout the game. Matt contributed 1 ace and 7 strong attacks, helping his team gain important points. His powerful spikes and smart plays made a big difference in the match.
From the start of the game, the Secondary Boys showed strong defense and quick coordination. They communicated well and worked together to stop the attacks of their opponents. The turning point happened in the third set when Bato NHS scored five straight points to take the lead. The crowd cheered loudly as the players showed their skills, speed, and teamwork.
Matt’s performance inspired his teammates to stay aggressive and positive. Every time he scored, the team’s energy became stronger. His hard work and dedication during the game proved that practice and discipline truly pay off. The 5th match of the One Day League was not just about winning, but also about sportsmanship and teamwork. Both teams showed respect and determination, making the game enjoyable for everyone watching.
With performances like this, the Secondary Boys continue to prove that they are ready to compete and give their best in every match.

A TRIUMPHED VICTORY FOR PHILIPPINES AGAINST EGYPT:SUCCESS SEIZED THROUGH BREAKTHROUGHS;MENS VOLLEYBALL

In a breathtaking finish, Philippines crushed the game with overwhelming prowess, ending the game with a score of 3-1 out of 5 sets. A dominating victory for team Philippines befitting their structured and coordinated teamwork in winning the game.

The game was very fierce and nerve-wracking starting from the early period of the game. In the first set of the game, the leading team was team Philippines with the momentum on their side which gave them the upper hand of the match. The first set ended with spectacular outplays from both the competing teams and ended with a score of 29-27, the first set win for team Philippines, having four slide points which made the game very overwhelming and nail-biting for both the audience and the players. For the second set of the game, the game was filled with roars that can be heard from the crowds supporting the Philippines, but with team Egypt’s spirit flickering into flames, the tides was turned by team Egypt and earning them the win for the second set of the match with a score of 25-23.The third set of the match was conquered by team Philippines with a score of 25-20, once again, earning them the odds to win the match.
The pressure was rising for the fourth set of the game, a very thrilling match was being carried out and with the final strong blow from player jersey number 1, Bryan Bagunas, the crowd erupted as team Philippines won the preliminary round against team Egypt. The game was played in the most skull-cracking way that ended with both tears of joy and sorrow being present for this preliminary round.
Joshua Retamar, Philippine’s setter, a standout player from team Philippines who scored 40 excellent sets, 1 block, 2 points and 1 attack, earned him the title “player of the game” because of his contribution to the game with help from his fellow teammates and their impeccable teamwork and confidence as well.
This victory marked the capability of team Philippines to fight for future games and their significance as a team. Showcasing their prowess and might as they fight representing their beloved country, Philippines. “Laban Alas Pinas”, said Philippines.
